MONTRÉAL, Nov. 7, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Domaine Pinnacle and Lise Watier launch a new vodka carved north of the 49th parallel: Quartz. Made in Quebec, Quartz vodka is crafted from one of the world's purest sources, ESKA water. The only water exclusively obtained from a subterranean source formed by the receding of a glacier over 8,000 years ago in Northern Quebec, ESKA is naturally filtered by the quartz found in the Saint-Mathieu-Berry esker. Sodium-free, it's also low in minerals and has a perfect PH balance.
Extracted from Canadian grains of superior quality, Quartz vodka is micro-distilled five times in a copper still to ensure an exceptionally smooth taste. Next, it's cryo-treated and micro-filtered through quartz for an impurity-free silky smoothness. In order to maintain the highest standards, the vodka is produced in small batches and each step is carefully monitored by Dara Djaldi, Quartz's cellar master.
"When creating Quartz vodka, nature was our inspiration," explains Charles Crawford, founder and president of Domaine Pinnacle. "We're fortunate, in Quebec, to have such precious natural resources. It makes for unique, refined, smooth and pure vodka."
Moreover, Lise Watier tells us how the Quartz project came to be: "The idea of creating a purely Québécois vodka came to me seven years ago – pure folly. Step by step, I conducted market research in Montreal and New York; I attempted to buy a distillery but it didn't work out. The project only came to life on that fateful day; the day I met Charles Crawford, Quartz was born."
Quartz vodka will be available at various SAQ stores as of November at the retail price of $40.25. The purity of the 750 ml premium glass bottle, conceived by a London glassmaker, mirrors the purity of Quartz. SAQ #: 12392451 UPC: 00854745000470
