NORWALK, Conn., Dec. 16, 2015 /CNW/ -- Diageo, the world's leading premium drinks business, announced today the appointment of Jakob Ripshtein as Chief Financial Officer for Diageo North America. Ripshtein, who is currently President of Diageo Canada, will add the responsibilities of CFO to his current role. Ripshtein replaces Greg Kryder who has decided to leave the company in January 2016 to pursue other career interests.

Ripshtein began his career with Diageo in 2008 as VP Finance for Canada. In 2010, he moved to London to take on a role as Global Pricing Director for several years before returning to North America as SVP of Finance for Open States. Ripshtein has been President of Diageo Canada since 2014.
Ripshtein will continue to report to Deirdre Mahlan, President, Diageo North America and serve as a member of the North America executive team.
