Desjardins continues partnership with the Salon de l'immigration

MONTREAL, May 3, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - For the second consecutive year, Desjardins Group is proud to partner with the Salon de l'immigration et de l'intégration au Québec (SIIQ) to provide visitors with expertise and answers about Quebec's financial system.

Desjardins, the country's leading cooperative financial group, considers the SIIQ to be an event that must not be missed for all new Quebecers. The Salon will take place May 3 and 4 at the Palais des congrès in Montreal.

"We know it's not easy to start fresh in a new country. That's why Desjardins wants to help newcomers integrate into a new culture by offering them a full range of financial products and services that can meet their individual needs," says Chantale Picard, vice-president Complementary Networks Division at Desjardins Group.

Desjardins has gathered experts from various business sectors to support, guide and help them as they adjust to life in Quebec. The kiosk will be a one-stop shop for information about financial products, recruitment, credit or debit cards, insurance, investing in the stock market or starting a business.

Carrefour Desjardins, which specializes in welcoming newcomers, will also be hosting four conferences over the two-day event. Details about the conferences are available on the Salon de l'immigration et de l'intégration au Québec website.
