VANCOUVER, Feb. 6, 2012 /CNW/ - The Board of Directors of Cosigo Resources Ltd. (TSXV: CSG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Magnus Haglund as an additional Director to the Board of Directors and to the position of Exploration Manager of the Company. Cosigo is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Barry Holmes as Vice President, Corporate Development.
Mr. Haglund holds an MSc degree in Geology and Mineralogy from Abo Akademi University in Turku, Finland. He has more than 15 years of industry experience having explored for a variety of commodities including diamonds, gold and uranium worldwide. He is also General Manager of Northspan Explorations Ltd., a Canadian contract drilling company specializing in highly mobile reverse circulation drills. As Exploration Manager, Magnus will be working closely with the company's Executive Vice President, Dr. Joe Montgomery, to manage Cosigo's exploration efforts in Colombia and Brazil.
Mr. Holmes spent the past twenty years with Vancouver Island Helicopters, Canada's largest privately owned helicopter charter company. The last six years he served as Marketing Manager with responsibilities including contract negotiations and First Nations partnerships. Prior to this, Mr. Holmes completed the Canadian Securities Course and worked in the brokerage industry. He holds a commercial helicopter pilot license and is a graduate of the Helicopter Association International Management Course XI in California. Barry will be responsible for the company's investor relations efforts and his diverse experience from the helicopter, exploration and brokerage industries will be a valuable addition to Cosigo's management team.
