BLAINVILLE, QC, Dec. 15 /CNW Telbec/ - Duchesnay Inc. proudly announced that it has acquired the exclusive Canadian rights to market and sell Prevegyne™, a natural treatment to help women overcome their chronically recurrent Bacterial Vaginosis and its unpleasant symptoms such as fishy odour. Prevegyne™ has been widely used and very popular in Europe for over a decade to treat and prevent Bacterial Vaginosis, and to maintain normal vaginal pH.

Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is the most frequently occurring vaginal infection in women of childbearing age; it affects over half a million women in Canada. This type of infection occurs when the healthy balance between the "good" and the "bad" bacteria in the vaginal ecosystem becomes disrupted due to various external or physiological risk factors. When the number of protective bacteria (Lactobacilli) decreases, "bad" bacteria (such as Gardnerella) overgrow and BV symptoms occur.
