MONTREAL, June 6, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Dessau Inc. would like to make the following clarification regarding the construction of a swimming pool and service building at the Dominique-Savio Youth Centre. Dessau and its urban planning and landscape architecture subsidiary, Plania, carried out a contract for the design and engineering of the project, as well as for the development of the aquatic facilities following a public call for tenders.
The item broadcast on Tuesday, June 5 on TVA Nouvelles implies that there was collusion between the companies in order to rig the tender call.
Dessau and Plania diligently performed the work and are willing to participate, should it be deemed necessary, in the verifications requested by the Minister for Social Services, Véronique Hivon. Furthermore, the Dominique-Savio Youth Centre has been informed of this situation.
The reporter from TVA Nouvelles never requested any comments from Dessau or Plania prior to broadcasting the story. Under normal circumstances, media outlets are required to verify their information.
