Agreement adds 17 SCREENX auditoriums in the U.S. and three in South and Central America

BURBANK, Calif., Sept. 30, 2026 /CNW/ -- CJ 4DPLEX, the world's leading producer of premium cinema formats and immersive theater experiences, and Cinemark, one of the world's largest and most influential theatrical exhibition companies, today announced an agreement to add 20 new SCREENX auditoriums across Cinemark's global circuit, including 17 in the U.S. and three in Latin America. The expansion builds on a partnership that began in 2022 and will further extend the immersive panoramic format to moviegoers throughout the Americas.

Six of the new U.S. auditoriums are scheduled to open in 2026, expanding Cinemark's domestic SCREENX footprint to 30 in time for Avengers: Doomsday. The expansion will also introduce SCREENX's panoramic viewing experience to audiences in new states.
