FrançaisCanadians who donate at least $1 to the Burger King Foundation with purchase at a participating restaurant will receive a coupon for a free medium order of Fries or Onion Rings on their next visit
TORONTO, Aug. 31, 2026 /CNW/ -- As Canadian families prepare for the return to the classroom, Burger King® Canada is rallying communities across the country to empower the next generation. Starting today through September 21, restaurants nationwide1 will host the "Support Your Local Scholars" campaign in support of the Burger King Foundation – an organization dedicated to supporting local scholars and helping fund educational opportunities for Canadian youth, including scholarships and providing kits filled with critical classroom supplies for kids in our local communities.
To make giving back accessible and rewarding, Guests who donate at least $1 with their purchase at any participating location will receive a coupon for a free medium order of Burger King's newly elevated shoestring-cut Fries or crispy tempura-batter Onion Rings on their next visit.
"Back-to-school is a time of excitement, but for many families, it can also bring financial pressure," said Daniel McLean, General Manager, Burger King Canada. "Through our Support Your Local Scholars campaign, our Canadian Franchisees, restaurant team members and Guests are coming together to ensure local students have the support they need. A single dollar donation goes a long way, and offering a free treat on a future visit is our way of saying thank you to Canadians for lifting up their local communities."
How Canadians Can Participate
- Donate at the Counter or Drive-Thru: Guests visiting any participating Burger King Canada restaurant through September 21 can add a minimum $1 donation to their order at the front counter or drive-thru.
- Receive a Menu Perk: With a minimum $1 donation earns a physical coupon redeemable on a subsequent visit for a free medium order of Burger King's newly elevated Fries or Onion Rings.
- Direct Community Impact: 100% of proceeds directly benefit the Burger King Foundation, supporting local scholars through educational scholarships and helping fill a backpack for Canadian youth.
