Atwill-Morin announces successful takeover of the assets of Brook Restoration including 100 million dollars in existing contracts

TORONTO, Sept. 14, 2026 /CNW/ -- Atwill-Morin, the largest masonry, concrete and scaffolding contractor in North America, has today confirmed the successful takeover of the assets of Brook Restoration in Toronto; this company, which was founded in 2000, specialized in high-rise, commercial, and institutional building envelopes. After Brook Restoration declared bankruptcy, Atwill-Morin negotiated to acquire most of the company's assets, including existing contracts representing approximately $100 million in original contract value, and equipment.

Atwill-Morin shareholders: brothers Matthew, President, Jonathan, President of Atwill-Morin Ontario, and Mark, Vice President – Operations, along with Nicolas Croteau, Executive Vice President, are proud and excited to see this transaction propel Atwill-Morin to the forefront of its industry in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Canadian markets.

Matthew Atwill-Morin (President and CEO) expressed his enthusiasm for this significant transaction, which was approved by the Ontario Superior Court in early February 2026. The Court considered the Atwill-Morin proposal to be the best option for all stakeholders. "The projects taken over represent approximately $100 million in original contract value, and some 80 skilled workers are now in the Atwill-Morin fold" he says.

The former Brook Renovation employees have been officially rehired and integrated into the Atwill-Morin ranks. They are actively working on projects that could have been halted had the takeover not taken place. With the arrival of Atwill-Morin, the jobs of many skilled workers have been saved, and the investments of former Brook Restoration customers have been secured. More than 20 former Brook Restoration projects will be delivered by Atwill-Morin in accordance with its recognized policies, standards, and reputation for excellence.

Atwill-Morin has been active in the Toronto market for several years, and the takeover further enhances the company's position in Toronto, and across Canada. "This transaction adds a great deal of expertise to the Atwill-Morin family, which now numbers more than 12 hundred" says the President and CEO. More than 140 subcontractors remain involved in the ongoing (Brook Restoration) projects.
