MONTREAL, Feb. 20, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Mr. Javier San Juan, President & CEO of L'Oreal Canada, received a prestigious award in recognition of the Canadian subsidiary's outstanding performance in recent years, during the Les Performants du Québec gala which was held yesterday in Montreal.
President & CEO of L'Oreal Canada since 2006, Mr. San Juan manages one of the multinational's most important subsidiaries in the world, ranking in the Top 10 of the L'Oreal Group's 130 subsidiaries. L'Oreal Canada employs a very diverse workforce of over 1,200 workers and has three establishments in the greater Montreal area: the corporate head office, a distribution center, and a high-performing manufacturing plant that services over 40 countries. A great believer in the value of diversity, Mr. San Juan has "exported" and promoted several homegrown talents to other subsidiaries around the world.
Mr. San Juan's mandate is to develop the Group's diversified brands at twice the rate of the cosmetics market. According to Mr. San Juan, this diversity allows L'Oreal Canada to fulfill its mission "to improve the quality of life of our consumers, by making beauty accessible to as many men and women as possible."
During his acceptance speech to a crowd comprised of Senior Management from Quebec's top- performing companies in both the private and public sectors, Mr. San Juan stated: "I am extremely proud of this recognition as it highlights the great success that L'Oréal Canada has experienced over the years."
