TORONTO, March 11, 2013 /CNW/ - DentsuBos announced today its first
global win in collaboration with Dentsu Inc. in Japan and Dentsu
Network in New York. DentsuBos had been selected by the Dentsu
organization to lead the strategic and creative development for the
first global campaign for Hitachi. The work was developed through a
joint effort of the Montreal and Toronto operations and was at the core
of a pitch held in Tokyo earlier this year at the offices of Hitachi in
front of thirty international executives.
"When we acquired Bos last year, we knew that the acquisition and
follow-up merger with our Canadian operation would lead to great
things," said Tim Andree, CEO of Dentsu Network, "and Canada being a
true multicultural market, we chose DentsuBos to lead this effort based
on their track record as a creative agency with a great sensitivity and
affinity for various cultures."
According to Michel Ostiguy, CEO of DentsuBos: "We are so proud to be
able to make such a significant contribution to Dentsu this early in
our new life as a member of one of the top agency networks in the
world." The account will be managed out of Tokyo with the work executed
by DentsuBos under the direction of Chief Creative Officer Roger
Gariepy who beamed about the agency performance: "It is quite an
exhilarating feeling to know that the work we are developing for
Hitachi will have an impact all over the world, in countries like
Japan, China, India, Russia and many other key markets."
"The pitch was a wonderful opportunity for us to establish a solid
pattern of collaboration with our colleagues in other markets and we
are looking forward to many more such projects in the future." said
Claude Carrier, President DentsuBos Toronto; "This is a good indication
of new ways we can expand our business beyond our borders".
With over 200 employees in Toronto and Montreal, DentsuBos is a true
bi-cultural national agency offering full communication-marketing
services to a variety of clients including Toyota/Lexus/Scion, Fido,
IÖGO, National Bank, Canon and many others.
