The awards, presented yesterday at the annual gala, recognize entrepreneurial excellence as well as outstanding contributions to economic development by ten companies, two figures from the business world and three young farmers.
Stéphane Achard, Senior Vice-President of Business and Institutional Services for Desjardins, hailed the boldness of the business people recognized by the awards. "Entrepreneurs are Quebec's economic drivers, with a major role to play in the future of our economy. We at Desjardins seek not only to be their preferred business partner, but also to highlight, celebrate and promote their successes to inspire the next generation."
Alain Gagnon, Vice-President, Agricultural and Agri-Food Sectors, reaffirmed the importance for Desjardins, as Quebec's leading financial institution, to continue demonstrating its commitment to the future of agriculture through Fonds coopératif d'aide à la relève agricole.
