2009 Workplace Matters Design Awards Announced

VANCOUVER , Nov. 10 /CNW/ - The 2009 winners of the Workplace Matters Design Awards were announced at the first annual awards gala on Thursday, November 5 at the Westin Bayshore.

The Annual event, presented by T.O.R. The Office Resource, honours the innovative, environmentally sustainable and intuitive design of workspace ecology - where the nature of the people, the nature of the work and the protection of Nature are recognized through workspace inspirations.

Highlights from this years awards included many of the provinces top interior designers uniting in to honour the best product and designs for a multi-generational and environmentally sustainable workspace. A prestigious panel of judges including internationally renowned architect James Cheng , Thomas Muller , of the Canadian Green Building Council and Sooz Klinkhamer, Former chair of the Interior Design Centre for Design & Communications at Kwantlen choose amongst design submissions that illustrated the best overall interior designs for an intergenerational workplace.

This years awards were presented by David Mendell , sustainable design advocate and President of T.O.R. The Office Resource.
