SAINT-HUBERT, QC, Dec. 17, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Varitron Technologies, a leader in the electronic products assembly
field, was chosen by DRS Technologies Canada Ltd. (DRS Canada) to
support the Canadian Land Command Support System Life Extension
Project, a $38.7M Cdn. contract awarded to DRS Canada by the Canadian
Government on November 30th. This major partnership will result in the creation of 30 permanent
high tech jobs at the Varitron facility in Saint-Hubert.
For this contract, Varitron will provide high-volume manufacturing
services for various components intended for more than 13,000

radio frequency bands in real time ensuring seamless communications.
"This new contract generates obvious benefits for Varitron in terms of
creating additional high-quality jobs and eloquently illustrates the
strength of our experience, technical capability, state of the art
equipment and strong production team," commented Michel Farley,
President of Varitron Technologies. "High tech process development can
lead to improved local competitiveness and our partnership with DRS
Canada clearly demonstrates that the electronic manufacturing industry
in Canada is strong and growing further."
In order to better manage its fast-growing order book, including this
most recent addition with the DRS contract, Varitron recently doubled
