Torontonians invited to play for free as Virtual Reality centre celebrates launch with open house

TORONTO, June 14, 2017 /CNW/ - Today VRPlayin, Canada's most diverse virtual reality experience centre, is celebrating its grand opening with a free open house and launch party!    

Located at College St. and Spadina St., VRPlayin strives to make virtual reality accessible to everyone – regardless of age or prior VR experience. The centre is home to 18 stations with dozens of game options, from zombies and pirates to Scattergories and baseball, as well as a green screen booth and a car simulator, all of which will be available for attendees to try.

What:             

Torontonians are invited to come out and play at VRPlayin. Guests can pick from dozens of virtual reality games for a free afternoon of fun. The public is welcome from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There is also an exclusive launch party hosted in the evening, which will be hosted by technology and lifestyle expert, Amber Mac.

 

Photo/Video Opportunities:

  • Green Screen + VR Booths:
    • Capture users experiencing VR for the first time in one of the 18 bright and playful booths. TVs in each booth show everything the players are experiencing in their virtual world. 
  • VR Car Simulator:
    • Come race against the pros! Users sit in a race car wearing a VR headset; a TV behind the car shows everything they are experiencing on the virtual racetrack. 

  • Amber Mac with VRPlayin's founding team 
    • Technology and lifestyle expert Amber Mac will be hosting the evening's launch party alongside VRPlayin's founding members.
