OAKVILLE, ON, July 26, 2019 /CNW/ - Zachary Creed, accomplished golfer and instructor, is proud to announce plans to open a first-rate golf facility in East Oakville, Ontario for fans of the sport to enjoy. Drawing from his years of industry experience, Creed will launch the new family business in Fall 2019 and will feature golf lessons, simulator play, pro shop, and a snack bar, among other amenities.
"The center will be a place where golfers can feel comfortable to practice and improve every aspect of their game in a first class environment," says Oakville's Zack Creed. "We want you to leave a better golfer then you came in, whether that be through lessons or any of our services. We are excited to be able to help you with your golf game in any way that we can."
Zack Creed has been an avid golfer since childhood and subsequently went on to study Professional Golf Management (PGM) and recreation management at The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). As a student, he honed his skills through a number of internships at some of the finest courses in the United States.
Creed served as a Tournament Liaison for the U.S. Senior Open Championship in 2011 and for the 2012 BMW (Fedex playoffs) at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana. He also organized an Advanced Junior Golf Program for aspiring professionals, and college and high school standouts.
While working at The Hawthorns Golf & Country Club in Fishers, Indiana, Creed qualified for and played in the 2012 and 2013 Indiana Open tournaments. While working as the co-first assistant professional at the Highland Golf & Country Club in Indianapolis in 2014, he was a finalist for Indiana Professional of the Year.
In 2015, Creed shifted focus to learning the business side of golf as a sales & marketing professional for Midas Event Supply. Among his responsibilities at the company, he was in charge of selling new golf products to the U.S. market, serving as a trade show representative to club managers and evaluating the Midas expansion into the Canadian market.
Future goals for Zack Creed include working to explore how greater diversity and inclusivity can be promoted in the golf world. This includes encouraging more women, juniors and millennials to try the sport.
