Zabeen Hirji Steps Down from Sleep Country Canada Board of Directors
TORONTO, Oct. 24, 2023 /CNW/ - Sleep Country Canada Holdings Inc. ("Sleep Country" or the "Company") (TSX: ZZZ) announces that Zabeen Hirji has shared her decision to resign from the Board of Directors, effective October 20, 2023, to pursue other business and personal endeavours.

Mr. David Shaw, currently a member of Sleep Country's Board of Directors (and its Lead Director from July 16, 2015 until May 6, 2022) will be appointed Chair of HRCC at the 3rd Quarterly Board of Directors Meeting on November, 9 2023. David was previously CEO of Knightsbridge Human Capital Solutions, a national human capital firm he founded in 2001. Mr. Shaw is currently Chair of Axsium Group Ltd. Prior to founding Knightsbridge; Mr. Shaw was President and CEO of Pepsi Cola Canada Beverages (Pepsi) from 1996 to 1999. Mr. Shaw's career with Pepsi spanned 22 years within Canada and abroad in Australia, Singapore and Turkey. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee Inc. and Ocean Capital Holdings.
