OTTAWA, Nov. 19, 2014 /CNW/ -Oddities in Focus, has released a quirky video on YouTube containing music with relaxation and dance techniques for people to release the stress and tension of their daily lives.
Calling today's society 'fast paced' is a massive understatement. With almost everyone under stress, there is a huge demand for relaxation techniques in the market and several individuals and organizations have come forward to fill that demand.
There has been an exponential rise in the number of methods available to relieve stress. From meditation to medication, people are willing to try just about anything to forget their woes and to tap into the dopamine reservoirs in their brains. However, not every method works for everyone. Brent Day, the spokesperson and the only permanent member of the band explains, "We all go through stressful situations that tend to get us over-worked. It is healthy to accept the fact that everybody goes through stress and try not to let the feeling take over. Once this fact is accepted, it becomes easier to find a little bit of humor in every situation."
Brent Day released the track "Feel the Tension – Relaxation" to the audience on YouTube and the response has been quite good. As spokesperson/lyricist/creator of the band, Day wants the viewers to understand how anxiety can slowly take over our lives. Stress is an obstacle that one must face in order to keep progressing, but it can become overwhelming at times. Oddities in Focus have introduced simple dance moves that can work for everyone. They are especially enthusiastic about introducing the relaxing effects of dance music to a younger audience.
Brent Day further elaborates, "The eccentric music and the fun video are aimed to make the audience realize that stress should not be taken too seriously. There are many techniques out there that can be used to relax and reduce tension. Sadly, some people lose interest in some of the more time-consuming methods. The dance techniques used in the video are a unique, quick and interesting way to relax. Many who have tried the techniques are surprised at how something so simple can work so well".
"Guided Relaxation Dabbler" is the second track that Oddities in Focus has released. It is a 19 minute more traditional relaxation spoken track that gives users a chance to try out many techniques that have been proven to release tension.
There has been a very positive response to the "Feel the Tension – Relaxation" video and the YouTube hits keep increasing. The hope is that this new dance craze catches on so that many people can experience relaxation in a unique, fun way.
