NEW YORK, March 31, 2014 /CNW/ - Alexandra Doring-Zelman, founder of Throes Theater, was recently awarded the runner-up prize in the Bodley Head/Financial Times competition for her non-fiction essay 'A Community of Mortals.' Two Hundred entries from Bangalore to New York, Surrey to the Alps were judged by Editor Caroline Daniel who called Zelman's essay "a brave and elegant reflection on the role of a sudden accident, with insight into the power of modern medicine."
