CALGARY, Jan. 28, 2015 /CNW/ - Calgary oil and gas technology firm XI Technologies Inc. today announced both the commercial release of its web-based H2S Report, as well as a price freeze on their Regulatory suite of software products.
For the past 15 years, XI Technologies has been providing the industry with the leading Excel-based research tool with comprehensive data to evaluate and calculate potential H2S risks. XI has moved this tool online, adding the ability to save their work and apply changes automatically to future reports. Initial assessments estimate that this added functionality will decrease the time to perform an H2S release rate assessment by up to 60%.
"Many of our clients are faced with making deep cuts to their G&A budget, and we want to ensure these cuts are not to the detriment of meeting their obligations to the current regulatory body," says Darryl Stackhouse, President of XI Technologies. "We feel strongly about supporting our clients' need for reliable tools to meet regulatory requirements, and helping them accomplish more in less time. It's never appropriate to cut corners with safety and government regulations. In light of market conditions, we are implementing a price freeze across XI's Regulatory suite of products, effective immediately."
With the launch of H2S Report, XI is committed to providing clients with both mobility and 24/7 access to the database, as well as decreasing the amount of time required to fully adhere to regulations. XI's Regulatory Suite of products includes research tools integral to a comprehensive drilling program: H2S Report for the determination of H2S release rates; Surface Casing Report assesses the minimum surface casing depth required to satisfy AER Directive 8; and Drill Problems Report illuminates historical drilling problems.
