MISSISSAUGA, ON, Feb. 1, 2017 /CNW/ - World Vision Canada and Roma Boots are proudly teaming up to give poverty the boot! With Roma Boots now available in Canada, World Vision supporters have the opportunity to double their impact through the "Buy One, Give Two" program. Until February 28th, for every pair of Roma boots purchased by generous Canadians, two pairs are donated to World Vision Canada to support children in need around the world. The "Buy One, Give Two" program has the potential to give thousands of children high quality footwear to keep them safe and warm.
"It's disheartening to know that in some countries, many children have to endure the cold and wet weather without proper footwear, exposing themselves to injury and disease. But I am encouraged to know that together with Roma boots, we are taking steps to change that.
With the 'Buy One, Give Two' program, there is an even greater opportunity for Canadians to help more children in developing countries. I am inspired by Roma Boots' impressive commitment to help children in this way as a valued World Vision Canada partner."
-Jamie McIntosh, Vice-President, Programs & Policy, World Vision Canada
"When World Vision reached out to Roma Boots, about helping children in need in Romania, I immediately and wholeheartedly agreed to help, especially since I was once that child 'in need' in Romania. Since 2012 Roma Boots has grown and so has our relationship with World Vision. We're honoured and grateful to have been able to donate thousands of boots to World Vision in support of their work with children in need around the world. Moreover, I'm extremely excited to know that Roma Boots are now available in Canada and everyone in Canada can help to make a difference."
-Samuel Bistrian, CEO & Founder, Roma Boots
