Wolters Kluwer CCH Announced as an Official Learning Partner of the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association
TORONTO, Oct. 23, 2013 /CNW/ - The Canadian Corporate Counsel Association has announced Wolters Kluwer CCH as the Official Learning Partner for the on-line learning component of the Business Leadership Program for In-House Counsel ("BLPIC"), which begins in February 2014.
The BLPIC is the first accredited program of its kind, developing and assessing the skills, knowledge, and attributes essential for in-house counsel to be regarded as both a trusted legal advisor and strategic business partner.
Wolters Kluwer CCH, a leading provider of information and software products for legal, HR and accounting professionals, will be providing full access to practical legal risk management solutions created by in-house and private practice thought leaders, to help registrants meet BLPIC learning and competency objectives.
"We are very pleased to have Wolters Kluwer CCH providing such extensive research and reference tools to our registrants," says CCCA Chair Grant Borbridge. "I'm confident these tools will help guide our students through the program by filling knowledge gaps as they move toward their CIC.C designation."
"This program is really going to set the bar for in-house counsel, and give them a major advantage when dealing with future challenges and a competitive job market," said Steve Monk, Vice President, Law & Business of Wolters Kluwer CCH. "This leading program is exactly the initiative the profession needs, and we at Wolters Kluwer CCH feel our participation is a perfect opportunity to both help inform the future certified graduates, and keep our products on the cutting edge."
Wolters Kluwer CCH will be providing BLPIC students with full access to Ultimate Corporate Counsel Guide, the Canadian Corporate Secretary's Guide, the Director's Manual, and the Canadian Labour Law Reporter through this on-line learning component of the BLPIC program.
Jointly launched between the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association and the Rotman School of Management, the BLPIC program is comprised of in-person learning, on-line learning and an experiential component. Students will complete the program in approximately one to two years, with the first cohort beginning the process in February 2014. Upon completion of all program phases, graduates will receive the designation CIC.C (Certified In-House Counsel. Canada). To learn more about the program, please visit www.ccca-accje.org.
