Seventh ENERGY STAR award in eight years for Whirlpool Canada

OTTAWA, June 10 /CNW/ - Today, Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN) named Whirlpool Canada the 2010 ENERGY STAR Manufacturer of the Year. This prestigious award recognizes the company's continued leadership in offering Canadian consumers energy and water efficiency solutions through its leading home appliance brands.

"At Whirlpool Canada, we are continually looking to identify ways to build industry-leading home appliances that conserve natural resources - while still delivering the excellent performance Canadians expect from our brands," says Karim Lalani, vice president and general manager, Whirlpool Canada. "We're working hard to continue our alignment with NRCAN and are very proud to be awarded this title once again."
