/CNW/ - Western Coal Corp. (TSX: WTN, WTN.WT and WTN.DB and AIM: WTN) ("Western" or the "Company") announces that it has received service of a proposed class action lawsuit that was commenced in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on
November 20, 2009
. The statement of claim alleges inaccurate disclosure in Western's fiscal second quarter 2007 financial report. The Company believes these allegations are without merit and intends to vigorously defend them as well as the plaintiff's attempt to obtain court approval to proceed with the action.
