Well-known structural engineer in the Canadian steel industry joins Supermétal
LEDUC, AB, Jan. 19, 2012 /CNW/ - Structural steel construction company, Supermétal, today announced the arrival of Sylvie Boulanger as Vice President, Technical Marketing, a highly strategic function combining business development and innovation. Well-known among the Canadian steel industry, Ms. Boulanger has been Québec Regional Manager of the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) for the past 10 years.

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Ms. Boulanger has an impressive academic background. She obtained her bachelors, masters and doctorate in civil and structural engineering from the University of Alberta (Edmonton), the University of California (Berkeley) and from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (Lausanne) in Switzerland, respectively. In addition, she has been a member of several Canadian and North American industry committees, including the CISC Committee on Architecturally Exposed Structural Steel, the North American Steel Construction Conference planning committee and the AISI Construction Sustainability Task Group. She has also written for CISC's Advantage Steel Magazine and AISC's Modern Steel Construction.
