MONTREAL, Jan. 15, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - "Come play outdoors" is the invitation issued this Saturday by the organizers of the 32nd edition of the Fête des neiges de Montréal to everyone seeking to make the most of winter through an array of outdoor activities to enjoy as a family or among friends. This popular winter celebration, staged at Parc Jean-Drapeau on the weekends of January 17 to February 8, 2015, is back with a program featuring sports activities, shows, entertainment and a food offering that has variety and originality.
"Parc Jean-Drapeau is proud to present this people-gathering event which celebrates Montréal's northern climate on a site that is charming, safe and accessible. Over the next four weekends, the Parc will welcome thousands of visitors who, as a family or with friends, will be coming here to enjoy the best of what winter has to offer," remarked Christiane Germain, the chairperson of the Société du parc Jean-Drapeau's board of directors.
"The Fête des neiges is an outstanding opportunity for Montreal families to get outdoors and enjoy the many pleasures that winter has to offer. This great festival, in which people can participate in a host of free activities in the charming setting of Parc Jean-Drapeau, is a reminder of the tremendous vibrancy and vitality of the city of Montréal, regardless of the season. I cordially invite Montrealers, and indeed all Quebecers and visitors from near and far, to come and share a memorable time with us," stated Montréal mayor Denis Coderre.
