NIAGARA, ON, June 8, 2017 /CNW/ - Wayne Gretzky and Andrew Peller Limited are pleased to announce the grand opening of the new Wayne Gretzky Estates Winery & Distillery in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
"We are excited to kick off our official Grand Opening celebration and invite our friends, families and neighbours to our beautiful new Wayne Gretzky Estates Winery & Distillery this weekend," said Wayne Gretzky, at the opening night party.
Constructed over two years, the modern "barn-like" 23,000 square foot facility includes a winery, distillery, tasting areas, retail and hospitality spaces, and barrel cellar. Guests to the winery will also enjoy an exclusive collection of Wayne Gretzky memorabilia as well as private family photos.
GRAND OPENING WEEKEND EVENTS
Throughout the weekend there will be complimentary tours, door prizes, interactive games and more in our backyard with wine by the glass, cocktails, and delicious food at The Whisky Bar from 12 noon to 9 pm daily.
FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY – June 9th
Kick off the weekend with food truck fare while we play vinyl in the vineyard. Set up a friendly competition with friends at the electronic hockey net, too! (Please note that Food Trucks will be here from noon to 9 pm and accept cash only. We do not have an ATM).
SOUNDS of SATURDAY – June 10th
Our backyard will be singing with live music from noon to 9 pm, plus enjoy Chef Frank Dodd's whisky burger and ribs, and a featured whisky cocktail.
SEAFOOD SUNDAY – June 11th
Indulge in delectable seafood dishes at Buster's Sea Cove food truck and The Whisky Bar patio from noon to 9 pm.
Wayne Gretzky Estates Tours and Experiences
Enjoy Wayne Gretzky Estates wines and whiskies at the new winery tasting room and distillery whisky bar from 10 am to 9 pm daily.
In addition, guests can experience 45-minute guided tours and interactive sessions with our bartenders and hosts on the history of whisky making, insider tips on how to create the ultimate whisky cocktail and learn about Wayne's dream of opening a world-class winery as well as wine and food pairing.
