NEW STUDIO LEADERSHIP
Martin Carrier and Reid Schneider to Head New Development Studio
MONTREAL, Sept. 8 /CNW Telbec/ - Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is ramping up the growth of its development studio WB Games Montreal and announced today the appointment of industry veterans Martin Carrier as Vice President, Studio Head and Reid Schneider as Vice President, Executive Producer to lead the studio.
Since the formation of the studio in spring 2010, WB Games Montreal has been adding to the development team, which will focus on developing AAA games based on the extensive DC Entertainment library and endeavours in the fast-growing online space with Warner Bros. properties.
"WB Games Montreal has begun to take shape with many new hires and the appointments of gaming industry veterans Martin Carrier and Reid Schneider to lead the studio," said Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President, Development and Production, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. "Martin and Reid have the interactive experience needed to lead the team in making quality games utilizing our major properties. They will continue to build the team and are currently hiring talented developers."
Carrier will be in charge of the studio's day-to-day operations. Prior to joining WB Games, Carrier served as, Vice President, Communications and Corporate Affairs at Ubisoft Montreal, Vice President, Marketing and Communications at Bluestreak Technology and also worked as a technology industry consultant.
A games industry veteran of 12 years, Schneider will handle all production related initiatives for the studio. Prior to his role at WB Games, he was Executive Producer of the "Army of Two" franchise. He also served as a Producer on "Battlefield Vietnam" and the original "Splinter Cell."
