RICHMOND, BC, Nov. 12 /CNW/ - The 2009 Roland Synth Contest entries are in and now it is up to the public to decide who is going to walk away with the grand prize! From dozens of entries, the expert jury, which included Canadian Idol's Tony Padalino and Flashpoint's Amin Bhatia, has narrowed the field to the top ten. The fates of the finalists are now in the hands of the public who will vote to determine the Grand Prize Winner. Voting for this year's Roland Synth Contest runs from November 6 through to November 30, 2009.

To place your vote, simply visit www.roland.ca/synthcontest, listen to the
compositions and select your favourite. The top ten finalists are competing
for the chance to win the following amazing prizes:
- First-place: Roland V-Synth GT Version 2.0
- Second place: Roland JUNO-Stage Keyboard
- Third Place: Cakewalk Rapture and Cakewalk Producer software.
Last year, Roland received a wide variety of tracks, ranging from languid sonic landscapes to upbeat dance tracks. FM Radio Gods, a trio of up and coming electronic dance musicians from Montreal, took the competition with an electrifying dance track called "See You Later Oscillator". In honor of their win, FM Radio Gods participated in this year's contest as honorary jury members and helped to determine the top ten finalists.
