TORONTO, May 20 /CNW/ - As a precautionary measure, Nestlé Canada is voluntarily recalling Espresso, a specialty instant coffee by Nescafé in the distinctive 100g black glass jar from the Canadian marketplace. No other Nescafé coffees in Canada are affected.
The recall is because some of these jars may be susceptible to breaking during delivery and consequently, may contain small pieces of glass. We received three related consumer complaints in Canada, none involved injuries.
The quality and safety of our products is our highest priority. As a result, as a precautionary measure, we are voluntarily recalling this product. We will change the packaging format before re-introducing the product to the market.
Consumers who have this product, Espresso, a specialty instant coffee by Nescafé, should contact Nestlé Consumer Services at 1-800-387-4636 for reimbursement.
