Voiles en Voiles, a new, one of a kind family theme park, docked at the Old Port of Montreal!
MONTREAL, July 9, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - The Écorécréo Group, which specializes in the development and management of tourist attractions in Quebec, is officially launching today, at the Place des Vestiges in the Old Port of Montreal, its brand new family theme park, Voiles en Voiles. Since July 3rd, young and old alike can climb aboard life-sized models of royal and pirate ships from the 18th century, and can head out on one of 7 adventure aerial courses. Developed by three young Quebec entrepreneurs, this outdoor activities concept aims to push the limits of visitors of all ages, immersing them in a story of pirates and royalty. "Voiles en Voiles completes the current offering of the Old Port of Montreal, allowing families to spend a memorable day at an out of the ordinary site. We hope that this park becomes a must-see for all avid seekers of new experiences," Mr. Marc Cudia, president of the Écorécréo group, explains.
One, two, three, all aboard!
Voiles en Voiles offers a total of 61 games spread across 7 different aerial courses adapted to groups of all ages (from 3 to 333 years old!), including, among others:
- 5 adventure aerial courses with different difficulty levels and different heights (from 1 to 10 metres);
- 2 onboard courses (48 metres descent and 6 metres high) which let you charge into battle on one of the ships;
- 4 climbing walls (2 beginner, 2 intermediate);
- 3 courses in huge, themed inflatable games structures.
In addition to all the visitors and tourists, the site also welcomes school groups, day cares and children's birthday parties, and will be open every day of the week, from July 3rd to Labour Day and then on weekends only until November 1st.
In buying a family pass for 4 people, Voiles en Voiles will donate $1 to the Service d'hébergement St-Denis, a member of the Auberges du Coeur Foundation, which welcomes a mixed population of homeless youth in difficulty between 15 and 20 years of age.
Will you be a member of the Royal Guard or an evil pirate?
With six sails, its three floors (up to ten metres high) and its climbing wall, the pirate ship immerses participants in the universe of pirates and serves as a departure point for multiple courses. It also allows guests to board the royal ship. As for the royal ship, with its appealing colours and large sails, it transports visitors into the universe of the King and allows the most courageous of guests to launch themselves through the air towards the pirate ship! Ladders, beams, hanging nets, scales, gangways, labyrinths, swings, climbing walls and bridges are all trials that will test the abilities of participants.
Safety and Quality Are Our Priority!
As safety is one of the greatest concerns of Voiles en Voiles, courses were developed in collaboration with the company d'Arbre en Arbre and with anchoring systems from the company Kanopeo, the safest and most efficient in the world. Once attached to the course, it is impossible for participants to detach themselves. The trained and qualified employees of Voiles en Voiles can always intervene at any time on the course to detach a participant when needed.
