Latest innovation continues ViXS leadership in density, performance, and video quality
TORONTO, April 8, 2013 /CNW/ - ViXS Systems Inc. today announced the new XCode Pro 120 chip, providing unprecedented levels of density, performance and video quality for transcoding and encoding content in the cloud. The Pro 120 is pin-for-pin compatible with the previous generation XCode Pro 100, enabling ViXS' existing customers to rapidly take advantage of the Pro 120's enhancements. At NAB 2013, ViXS will be demonstrating the XCode Pro 120 platform along with a number of other advanced infrastructure solutions, representing ViXS' continuing investment in the critically important cloud infrastructure market.
Key ViXS XCode Pro 120 features include:
- Turbo RC premium video mode, improves output video quality for MPEG2 and H.264 outputs at full resolution
- Dual MPEG2 HD output
- Increased Bandwidth for MPTS IP input
- Mirror encoding for live Adaptive Bit Rate (ABR) streaming applications
- Dual HD Stream Motion adaptive de-interlacing
- Dolby© Digital Plus 5.1 Professional Encode
ViXS' XCode Pro 120 provides the flexibility to quickly develop solutions with a broad range of applications from broadcast to hospitality. The addition of Turbo RC and increase from single to dual motion adaptive deinterlacing makes it a unique solution where interlaced to progressive conversions are required. Existing customers who are using ViXS' XCode Pro 100 can easily transition to XCode Pro 120 with minimal incremental effort.
