Vitalogs to deliver to their users UFIT(R) TEN-10 devices and services
TORONTO, Dec. 2 /CNW/ - Biosign Technologies Inc. (CNSX: BIO) ("Biosign" or the "Company") and Vitalogs Inc. announced today that Vitalogs has joined the Biosign Channel Partner Program (see press release "Biosign Launches Channel Partner Program" November 23rd, 2009). Vitalogs will resell Biosign products to their personal health record ("PHR") users, starting with Biosign's blood pressure monitors with server controls (UFIT(R) TEN-10).
"Vitalogs PHR users will benefit from the recording and retrieval of daily UFIT(R) readings. Our PHR was developed to allow for access anytime and anywhere of vital data. Through this partnership with Biosign, our customers will have access to scientific measurements from a simple to use, online monitoring system," stated Tatiana Memos, Director, Public Relations for Vitalogs Inc.
The integration of personal monitors and records could transform health care by allowing medical staff to readily monitor certain conditions as needed. In a recent article published by Technology Review, Philip Hagen, a physician at the Mayo Clinic, states that "Normally, I might bring someone back at six weeks or six months to make sure their medication is working. But once we have a level of confidence that a patient has a good-quality device and is using it properly, we can do a lot of care at a distance."
The use of personal health monitors and records is finding widespread adoption as people seek better quality, greater control, and active participation in their health care. The increasing access to health information fuels the imperative demand for simple, accurate, and understandable statements of scientific fact about one's health for inclusion in personal health records.
"In addition to the measurements provided by our UFIT(R) system, Vitalogs users have the ability to gather, manage, and share this vital information as needed, including emergencies. We welcome Vitalogs to our Channel Partner Program and look forward to working with them on improving the way people evaluate and manage their health," stated John T Anders, VP Business Development.
Biosign's UFIT(R) TEN-10 is available for sale to Vitalogs users through Vitalogs' website at www.vitalogs.com.
