Hidden virtual phone now possible for Android DIY'ers using a choice of apps available for free on Google Play
OTTAWA, Nov. 12, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Graphite Software announced today the availability of a downloadable system ROM image for Google Nexus 5 phones. The ROM includes the powerful "Spaces" feature that is in use by device manufacturers including Coolpad, TCL, Blackphone with others launching soon. In addition, Graphite Software is making available several apps that demonstrate the power of Hidden Spaces.
"Our Spaces technology is quickly being adopted and deployed by device OEMs", said Alec Main CEO of Graphite Software. "Making the system ROM available for download will build a community of developers and hobbyists who will help guide the direction of Spaces through their feedback and collaboration".
Secure Spaces is an Android virtualization platform that enables multiple virtual devices or "Spaces" to co-exist on a single device - such as a Personal Space, a Kids Space, a Work Space and a Mobile Banking Space – with strong isolation between the Spaces. This addresses not only fundamental Android security and privacy issues but it also enables Spaces to provide different user experiences in terms of apps, wallpaper, launcher and unique Space security settings, which leads to new forms of app discovery and distribution.
Hidden Spaces separately encrypts your most private apps, accounts and information. These Spaces are not visible or accessible except via a password in a special secret app designed to work with Hidden Spaces. Graphite Software is making three (3) Hidden Space apps available for free, for a limited period of time, from Google Play, with more apps to come.
"The demand for Hidden Spaces has been tremendous," said Main, "so we realized we had to release a ROM to give those lead adopters another option".
The System ROM download and access to the Hidden Space apps is available at http://www.securespaces.com/
