MONTRÉAL, Nov. 9, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Construction of Vic & Lambert, the first residential building in Saint-Lambert to seek LEED® Gold certification, is underway. LSR GesDev president Annie Lemieux, Sotramont president Marc-André Roy and Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ president and CEO Normand Bélanger were all on hand for the ground-breaking ceremony. The 51-unit condo project should be completed within 12 to 18 months.
"We're excited to see this project break ground. This residential building will offer an authentic living experience that fits right in with the pace of life so characteristic of Saint-Lambert," said Annie Lemieux, president of LSR GesDev. "We want to create an exceptional environment with breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River and downtown Montréal. We can't wait to welcome the first owners at the end of next year."
"By aiming for nothing less than LEED® Gold, we hope to offer genuine value to future property owners. This certification will make the building highly energy efficient, saving them a lot of money on their monthly energy bill," added Sotramont president Marc-André Roy.
"Valued at over $25 million, Vic&Lambert will not only diversify the residential offer in this area but create more than 100 jobs," said Normand Bélanger, President and CEO of the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ. "As well, by aiming for LEED® Gold certification, this project fits right in with the Fonds Immobilier's commitment to being a socially responsible investor."
