Verico, DLC, CanWise, Solidifi among big winners at 2018 Canadian Mortgage Awards
TORONTO, April 24, 2018 /CNW/ - The mortgage community rallied together on April 20 as a host of winners were crowned at the 12th annual Canadian Mortgage Awards.
Awards in 21 categories were handed out, highlighting a vast array of benchmark industry achievements from the past year.
Over 600 attendees flew in from all over the nation to witness the live announcement of winners, who were carefully selected by an independent expert judging panel following nominations from the readers of Canadian Mortgage Professional magazine (CMP) and MortgageBrokerNews.ca (MBN). The event was organised by Key Media, the publishers of CMP and MBN, and hosted by TV personality Jessi Cruickshank. It was held in support of the Children's Wish Foundation.
Among those taking home a trophy were CanWise Financial (Mortgage Brokerage of the Year – 25 Employees or More), Solidifi (Mortgage Industry Employer of Choice), Verico Streetwise Mortgages (The Manulife Bank Award for Outstanding Customer Service – Individual Office), and Clinton Wilkins of Centum Home Lenders (The Oppono Lending Company Mortgage Broker of the Year – Fewer than 25 Employees).
"Getting nominated is important to people," said Gary Mauris, President and CEO of Dominion Lending Centres, winner of National Broker Network of the Year for the second year in a row. "Recognition is very valuable. It's good in the marketing and it's certainly good for recognition for the hard work that they do. It just keeps getting better and better and the calibre keeps getting stronger and stronger every year."
According to Jessica Duce, Project Director of the Canadian Mortgage Awards, "There couldn't be a better line-up of winners and finalists.
