VANCOUVER, Nov. 26 /CNW/ - The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) will announce how Canadian residents can apply to be torchbearers for the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Torch Relay at an event on Friday, November 27 at VANOC headquarters.
The names of the first torchbearers selected for the relay will also be announced by VANOC and its relay partners at the event.
The Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Torch Relay starts on March 3, 2010 at the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa, ON, and ends in downtown Vancouver with the lighting of the Paralympic Cauldron at BC Place to officially start the Paralympic Games on March 12, 2010.
