Vancouver 2010 to hold media availabilities for launch of Cultural Olympiad's
CODE Live and Vectorial Elevation installation in Vancouver on Thursday,
February 4

VANCOUVER , Feb. 3 /CNW/ - CODE Live, a landmark 18-day digital arts event held as part of the larger Vancouver 2010 Cultural Olympiad festival, is officially kicking off on Thursday, February 4 with three distinctive events in Vancouver .

The events include: Code Live 1, Code Live 2 and Vectorial Elevation, a stunning interactive artwork that will project a quiet canopy of light in the night sky above and on the sparkling surface of English Bay below with designs created by people around the world and delivered via the Internet. Three separate media availabilities will be held on Thursday, February 4 with Burke Taylor, vice-president of culture and celebrations with the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC); Rae Hull , VANOC's creative director of CODE; and Canadian artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, creator of Vectorial Elevation, considered one of the world's largest interactive artworks.
