MONTREAL, Oct. 3, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - A PRAYER VIGIL will be held on Sunday October 5th at 2 pm on the grounds of Mary Queen of the World Cathedral in support of the Fuh-Cham family (Corner of René-Lévesque Blvd. and Mansfield Street). If deported to Cameroon Mr. Hilary Fuh-Cham, a practicing Catholic, risks being killed in retaliation for refusing to adhere to traditional tribal obligations. His wife and two daughters risk genital mutilation.
The STAY OF DEPORTATION HEARING for this family is scheduled for Tuesday October 7th at 9:30 am at the Federal Court (30 McGill St. in Old Montreal).
A petition denouncing the deportation containing 1951 signatures was recently submitted to the House of Commons for review by Member of Parliament Hélène LeBlanc. We invite you to join your voice to the hundreds of others who object to the deportation of this family by attending or reporting on Sunday's prayer vigil and Tuesday's court hearing.
