United Pharma Group Names Sherif Guorgui To Be Chief Executive Officer
TORONTO, May 12, 2016 /CNW/ - United Pharma Group (UPG) has announced that its board of directors has named Sherif Guorgui to become UPG's Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1st.
Sherif will join UPG from the Ontario Pharmacists Association (OPA), where he serves as Vice-President of Pharmacy.
Sherif has more than 15 years of extensive experience in pharmacy practice and retail operations in the independent and corporate sectors, in addition to his comprehensive experience in pharmacy regulation and advocacy. During his tenure at OPA, Sherif led the development and implementation of innovative business support services and the rebranding of OPA's continuing education programs. In 2011, Sherif was elected as President and Chair of the Council of the Ontario College of Pharmacists, and in 2015, Sherif was named one of Canada's top immigrants. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Cairo and an alumni of the International Pharmacy Graduate program at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto.
