TORONTO, Dec. 22 /CNW/ - UNICEF Canada announced today that for the second year, it will be partnering with Santa to offer the Portable North Pole (PNP) console to Canadians of all ages.
With just a few clicks, this technological marvel will let children, friends, colleagues and loved ones receive a personal video message from Santa Claus, sent directly from his village in the North Pole. Rediscover Christmas with this immersive and unique experience that brings the holiday magic back to life.
With the PNP console, a personalized video message can be easily created, incorporating the recipient's first name, age and photo(s), and even mentioning a desired gift. The message can be sent and viewed by the intended, family members and friends. Individuals will also have the option of purchasing the video created with a percentage of sales going to UNICEF. "www.portablenorthpole.ca is an original way to celebrate the Holiday Season," said Lucie Brodeur, Director of Business Partnership Development at UNICEF Canada. "Donations to UNICEF through this console will support our work to help underprivileged and vulnerable children around the world."
Also new this year, users creating videos will be given the opportunity to provide their email addresses to UNICEF to learn more about the important work UNICEF is doing across the world. In addition, individuals will be given the opportunity to make a donation to UNICEF to support the ongoing humanitarian efforts.
iPNP, the new companion application available on iPhone, iPod and iPad, allows anyone who opens a PNP account to access and view on their mobile device all the personalized video messages they have created and purchased. Sonar GPS allows them to browse the world in search of children who've been good, while a calendar gives a precise countdown to Christmas, as well as daily tips. The "Parents" section allows users to access and manage the viewable videos, as well as a list of greetings and purchases.
Santa Claus and his amazing PNP console will be online during the entire holiday season. To learn more about PNP or view the technology online please visit www.portablenorthpole.ca today
