Ulysse Nardin Launches Limited Edition "Blue Sea" timepiece in Toronto August 9th
TORONTO, Aug. 8, 2012 /CNW/ - Ulysse Nardin, renowned maker of prestigious Swiss timepieces for over 166 years, is holding the Canadian launch of its Limited Edition "Blue Sea" timepiece this Thursday August 9th (6:00 pm) at an exclusive event at the Forget About It Supper Club in Toronto. This unique opportunity allows lovers of fine chronometers a sneak peak at the new "Blue Sea" timepiece. With only 999 limited edition pieces available worldwide, it's a "must attend event" for Toronto's timepiece aficionados.
Ulysse Nardin and Toronto partner Bandiera Jewellers are extending a special invitation to the Toronto Media to join other VIPs for the official unveiling of the "Blue Sea" Limited Edition timepiece in Canada. The invitation-only launch event wine and dine savoir faire evening will be held at the Forget About It Supper Club, located at 325 King Street West in Toronto's vibrant Entertainment District.
The brand new "Blue Sea" is designed to tackle extreme conditions, combining the dual functionality of a diving instrument and beautiful time telling piece. Nestled in individually numbered cases, the watch's hour markers and hour and minute hands are covered with blue luminescent material for improved readability. This timepiece is water-resistant to 200 meters.
For the event, Ulysse Nardin has teamed up with Kahuna Powersports to create a limited Edition 001 Ulysse Nardin "Blue Sea" Jet Ski to be auctioned off in support of Multi Organ Transplant (MOT) Program at University Health Network. The Jet Ski is a 2012 Kawasaki 300LX and will be displayed in front of Forget It Super Club during the event. All proceeds from the auction benefit the Multi Organ Transplant (MOT) Program, Canada's first and largest transplant program and the fourth largest in North America, performing more than 400 solid organ transplants a year.
Internationally recognized for innovation and discovery, the MOT Program performs more than half of all transplants in Ontario, about one quarter of all those in Canada, and follows almost 5,000 patients. Many of the treatment advancements developed in the program have been adopted as standard practices worldwide.
Since 1846 Swiss timepiece manufacturer Ulysse Nardin has been creating some of the most reliable marine chronometers in existence. Bandiera Jewellers has been synonymous with fine jewellery, well-forged family values, and quality service embodying the very best of Italian tradition.
