<p>NORTHBROOK, Ill., <span class="xn-chron">May 4</span> /CNW/ -- Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is notifying retailers and consumers that the 9FT extension cord, identified below, bears an unauthorized UL Mark for the <span class="xn-location">United States</span> and <span class="xn-location">Canada</span> and may pose a risk of fire and shock. This product has not been evaluated by UL to the appropriate standard for safety for the <span class="xn-location">United States</span> or <span class="xn-location">Canada</span>, and is not authorized to bear the UL Mark.</p>
