- La Blanche du Mur – GOLD Medal - World's Best Experimental Specialty Beer 2014
SAINT-HYACINTHE, QC, Oct. 1, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Like in 2012, at the same competition, Brasseurs du Monde's Big Ben Porter, after been nominated Americas Best Porter was compared to Asia's and Eupore's best and, after blind tasting, was nominated Best in the World! The Big Ben Porter is distributed by more than 1000 retailers throughout Québec.
La Blanche du Mur, with its sour, dry and quite fruity flavors, is an obscure type of beer that is gaining in popularity. This special brew, inspired from recipes of Berlin's white beers (Berliner Weiss) is fermented with lactobacillus and is the result of a long process which takes from 6 to 8 months. The taste profile makes for a highly refreshing beverage and is quite different from beers known by the public at large. Considered World's Best in its category, it is currently only available at the brewery.
