Two Canadian brands have joined forces to create an exclusive line of hand-painted canoes

MONTREAL, Aug. 26, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - abitibi & co. owners, Guillaume Leblanc & JD Petit, and Norquay Co. owner, Natasha Wittke, have embarked on a partnership to change the face of canoe craftsmanship. Bringing their core focus to life through design and functionality, the team has created a line of canoes that will be out on the market in the fall of 2015.

"More of us are turning to the wilderness to find peace, balance and to reconnect with ourselves. For us at abitibi & co. nature is where creativity and liberty co-exist. This is what this partnership is all about, creating a unique product that inspires everyone to get into the great outdoors."

The co-created line includes 3 designs in 2 color options. Similarly to Norquay Co.'s canoe paddles, each design is painted by hand on the classic Prospector 15' canoe.

Only 50 canoes are available this year and many orders had already been placed and in production before the official launch.
