TVO on the Road brings The Agenda with Steve Paikin to Thunder Bay March 7 & 8

TORONTO, Feb. 19, 2015 /CNW/ - TVO's flagship current affairs program, The Agenda with Steve Paikin, travels to Thunder Bay, Ontario, March 7 and 8, 2015, inviting members of the public to participate in a public Meet Up with host Steve Paikin and The Agenda's producers, a community reception hosted by TVO, and the recording of two programs at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium.

Saturday March 7:


TVO on the Road in Thunder Bay – Public Meet Up: The Agenda with Steve Paikin

will bring together Thunder Bay residents to discuss the state of race relations

between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal residents.

TVO on the Road in Thunder Bay – The Agenda with Steve Paikin and Community Reception


Steve Paikin, host of The Agenda, and guests including community and business leaders and

academics from Northern Ontario.


1:30 to 2:30 pm - Program One: A Resourceful Economy in Northwestern Ontario   

The Agenda with Steve Paikin and featured guests will focuses on Northwestern Ontario's

resource extraction economy and the state of the "Ring of Fire" project.         

4 to 5 pm - Community Reception

Join Peter O'Brian TVO Board Chair and Lisa de Wilde CEO for a special community reception.

5 to 6 pm - Program Two: Changing City, Growing Community 

The Agenda with Steve Paikin and featured guests will examine the economic, social and cultural

successes and challenges for Thunder Bay in light of the growing role of Aboriginal Peoples in

urban Ontario.

The recording of The Agenda programs will be live streamed at on March 8 at 1:30 pm and 5 pm. The episodes will be broadcast on TVO on Monday, March 9 and Tuesday, March 10 at 8 and 11 pm.

Members of the public can visit to register for free tickets to participate in the Meet Up on March 7, and to be part of the audience for each of The Agenda's two programs on March 8.
