Triangle Petroleum Applies To Cease Being A Reporting Issuer
DENVER, Jan. 8, 2014 /CNW/ - Triangle Petroleum Corporation ("Triangle" or the "Company") (NYSE MKT: TPLM) announced today that it has applied to the Alberta Securities Commission, the Ontario Securities Commission and the British Columbia Securities Commission for a decision that it is not a reporting issuer in Alberta, Ontario and British Columbia, respectively.
If the application is approved, Triangle will no longer be a reporting issuer or the equivalent in any jurisdiction in Canada. Triangle will continue to publish its continuous disclosure documents, including its annual report, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in the United States, including rules of the NYSE MKT. Holders of the Company's securities resident in Canada will continue to receive the same continuous disclosure documents required by the U.S. securities laws and the NYSE MKT and delivered to Triangle's security holders resident in the United States.
