What: Travel Alberta proves marketing strategy success as they welcome more than 120 Chinese tourists to Alberta with an authentic Calgary Stampede breakfast honouring both Chinese and Western culture.
This tour group is the largest that Alberta has seen since China granted Canada Approved Destination Status in 2010. A traditional white hat ceremony will be conducted for popular, award-winning Chinese actor Mr. Xia Yu who is visiting the province.

When: Saturday, July 7, 2012
8:30 a.m. MST - Chinese tour buses begin to deliver guests to Heritage Park Historical Village. Authentic western entertainment and buffet breakfast.
9:15 a.m. - Media interview opportunities (scrum) in Celebration Tent (#34 on map)
9:35 a.m. - Formal welcome in Chatauqua tent.
9:45 a.m. - Randy Williams, Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Calgary, to award formal White Hat Ceremony to Mr. Xia Yu.
10:20 a.m. - Guests depart Heritage Park.
