TORONTO, Aug. 25, 2016 /CNW/ - Microforum signs an agreement for the purchase and installation of Viryl's "WarmTone" vinyl pressing lines at its Toronto, Ontario manufacturing facility. Viryl Technologies' presses are the most advanced vinyl record presses in the world. "These presses are modern, fully-automatic and in a class of their own. We studied the options and the WarmTone press was the clear winner", says Microforum President Frank Stipo. The deal includes six fully automated vinyl pressing lines with two lines scheduled for installation in the fourth quarter of 2016, an additional two lines in early 2017 and an option for two additional presses by the end of 2017. Microforum, an expert in the manufacturing of optical media for nearly 15 years, will initially add 12" vinyl to its product offering, with plans to offer 7" and 10" vinyl record manufacturing in 2017. Noble Musa, Vice President of Sales for Microforum says, "We are not just planning on making vinyl records… we plan on making vinyl records better with modern engineering. With the rising popularity of the much-loved record format, Microforum and its nationwide network of brokers are extremely excited to add this format to our product offering." The first two WarmTone presses in Canada are scheduled for installation at Microforum's 60,000 square foot plant in Toronto before the end of 2016.
