New Research Report Ranks Top Three Sites For Financial Advisors
NEW YORK, April 2, 2015 /CNW/ -- kasina, a DST company providing consulting and forward-looking research to the asset management industry, today released the results of its evaluation of Canadian asset manager websites.
The study – Optimizing Opportunities for Canadian Asset Manager Websites – was conducted in response to client demand for guidance on digital engagement in Canada.
Based on its analysis of Canada's largest asset manager websites targeted at financial advisors, the kasina report suggests there are several areas in which firms can improve their digital offerings.
"Our research shows that leading Canadian asset managers are attempting to provide an informative, interactive online experience for financial advisors," says Julia Binder, director of e-business research for kasina. "It was surprising to see that only the top sites were making it easy for them to do business."
In addition to registration that required special access IDs, dealer codes, and broker codes, the kasina report indicates that among Canadian firms,
- 1 in 2 sites features guidance for advisors on Client Relationship Model 2 regulation,
- 3 of 10 websites are responsively designed,
- 1 in 2 sites displays product benchmarks and other technical attributes, and
- 1 of 2 sites includes integrated account access.
With an eye toward helping marketing and e-business executives better address user expectations, kasina, which earlier this year became part of DST's Financial Services segment, also suggests a number of practical recommendations for better digital engagement in Canada. The paper also lists kasina's ranking of the top three Canadian asset manager sites for financial advisors.
"Baseline for any good advisor experience is intuitive navigation, responsive design, and easy registration," says Binder. "But for firms to really earn preference for their expertise and products, their websites will also have to tell a compelling, differentiated story about the organization's value."
